The Third Eye Chakra.

Known in Sanskrit as Ajna, the command center, the perceiving.

It is the 6th energy center of the body.

Located at the center of the forehead, between and slightly above the eyebrows, it governs intuition, inner vision, perception beyond the physical senses, and the capacity to see the deeper patterns and meanings that move beneath the surface of ordinary experience.

When Ajna is open and clear, we trust our intuition, we perceive with clarity and depth, and we move through the world guided by an inner knowing that transcends logic alone.

In the Tantric tradition of the Sat-Chakra-Nirupana, Ajna is depicted as a two-petaled lotus, each petal representing the two aspects of the mind, the rational and the intuitive, held in perfect balance at the seat of inner vision.

Seed Syllable: OM

The primordial sound of the universe, chanted to still the fluctuations of the ordinary mind and open the inner eye to the deeper dimensions of perception.
