Pisces The Fish

The Sun moves through Pisces from approximately February 19 to March 20. The last days before Ostara, the spring equinox. The world dreaming itself awake. The old year releasing its final breath, the new one stirring beneath the surface, not yet visible, already inevitable. Pisces holds that threshold. The end of the wheel and the breath before it begins again.

In ancient Greece, Pisces was associated with Aphrodite and Eros, who transformed themselves into fish to escape the monster Typhon, binding themselves together with a cord so neither would be lost in the depths. Two fish, swimming in opposite directions. The pull toward the world and the pull toward the beyond, held together by love. A story of the self that lives in two currents at once and has learned, finally, to swim in both.

Neptune dissolves the boundaries between self and other, between the visible and the invisible. The ocean that has no edges. The dream that continues after waking.
Jupiter brings the faith. The trust that dissolution is not loss but expansion. The self growing large enough to hold what it could not hold before.
